Through 26 years of experience working with Mesquite trees, brothers Aam and Brandt Coetzee discovered that these wild seedpods could be transformed into a delicious, nutrient-rich beverage.
Each year, a narrow window of just 2 to 3 weeks allows for the harvesting of the entire year’s supply before the summer rains begin. This short harvest period creates essential seasonal opportunities and brings vital support to local families in this remote Karoo region.

Each pod is meticulously hand-sorted to guarantee premium quality before being weighed, packaged, and transported to Somerset West in the Western Cape province of South Africa.
